![]() Those books are the International Correspondence School books printed in 1908. The white binders have copied books about Walschert Valves, Boilers, Gears and other steam stuff over 300 pages of writing I read these after having Bill teach me as much as I can absorb each Saturday. You cannot find this book and the price is excellent!!! Let me know (PM please) it is a collectors item. PS I have access to " Daylight 98-99 " by Richard Wright he wants me to sell if you are interested by chance brand new condition in a covered box. ![]() The gentleman I met via FB sold me some books just last week while I was on my Hwy 50 Wagon Train and he had these because his Dad wrote the Daylight 98-99 book (Yes! … Yes it is up there and has not been in print for years and years and the copy I purchased was brand new with wrap from the book publisher still on it! ) I have learned that brilliant people volunteer at railroads very brilliant people! Here we had just finished cleaning out the tubes inside the boiler and vacuumed up all that black soot (it is all deposited into a haz mat container and dumped via the Haz Mat company). ![]() This first picture is Bill he is a walking encyclopedia of steam knowledge I tag along behind Bill everywhere I can driving him nuts with questions and I take pictures of every single book he reads (on the Sunday train he always brings a book to read) it always has to do with steam locomotives. Here is how I spend every Saturday I can getting dirty with some great guys. Plus you SBR guys (not you but those who post up) talk too much politics I prefer motorcycles, trains, wagon trains/horses etc.…. If you want to see a more updated life of NCRY check out this facebook page. NCRY leased the Skookum steam locomotive and we have been working hard on her and the CV #4 and the Robert Dollar #3 plus I helped sand and aint somewhere near 4 cars/locomotives. Plus I participated in 10 wagon trains so I usually forget to post here on SBR. In 11 months I volunteered at NCRY over 1,100 hours, traveled across the USA several times, drove 43,000 miles in 11 months and volunteer at two other railroads.
